CMR readiness check

Reviewed 4 November 2026 · Prateesh Nair, BISFIOPS Private Limited

Answer five questions about how your business uses credit. You get an indicative readiness band — Strong, Needs work or At risk — and the habits to fix first. It takes two minutes and stores nothing. Background in the CMR guide.

This is an indicative readiness check. It is not your CMR. TransUnion CIBIL's model is proprietary. Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.

How the check works

Each answer adds points: higher limit use, longer overdues, more applications, missed instalments and any settlement add more. Up to 2 points reads as Strong, 3 to 5 as Needs work, and 6 or more as At risk. The thresholds are deliberately simple and shown here so you can see exactly how the band is reached. They reflect the behaviours lenders widely cite, not TransUnion CIBIL's formula.

Questions we are asked

Is this my real CMR?

No. This is an indicative readiness check based on habits lenders widely cite. Your actual CMR comes only from TransUnion CIBIL, whose model is proprietary.

Is my data saved?

No. The check runs in your browser and nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.

What should I fix first?

Overdue days and limit use usually matter most. The result lists the two or three habits to fix first, with a link to the full checklist.
