Questions we are asked
Which government scheme gives a business loan without collateral?
CGTMSE provides a credit guarantee so eligible micro and small enterprises can borrow from member lenders without collateral or a third-party guarantee. Mudra loans are also typically given without collateral.
Can a trading business get PMEGP?
No. PMEGP supports new manufacturing and service units; trading units are not eligible. Mudra and CGTMSE-backed loans can fund trading businesses.
Is there a Maharashtra scheme for new units?
Yes. The Chief Minister's Employment Generation Programme (CMEGP) offers a subsidy for new manufacturing and service units in Maharashtra, within set project-cost limits.
